Gone With the Wind in the Gorge...the Columbia River Gorge, Hood River, OR

Here is my first attempt at a slide show on Active Rain and my outside blogs. It's short. You will need patience. You have to look very closely. You really had to be there...on July 4, 2009. These pictures have been credited to Hood River, OR but in truth they were taken from a rock on the Columbia River's north shore...just west of Bingen, WA.

In order to embed the code you need to make sure you are on the HTML tab when you are inserting it. You look like you inserted the text while in WYSIWYG format.

I remember the first time I went to the Columbia River Gorge. I sat there all day with my Canon A1 taking picture after picture, and that was back when we had film that cost money but held a mere 36 pictures and then had to wait two weeks while the film was being developed, only to find out that all the pictures we took were overexposed, AND we didn't have Photoshop to correct for the overexposure. Ah, I love the digital age.

Now I get to sit out at Torrey Pines Gliderport here in San Diego and watch.

Thanks.  It is fun to watch.

Thanks.  All I can do any more is watch.  When I was a teenager, things were different.  Then I thought water skiing on one ski was tops.  It looks pretty tame today.
