Todd Clark, the Tigard and Beaverton, Oregon Real Estate Expert is giving away 50,000 blogging points to celebrate hitting ONE MILLION POINTS here on ActiveRAIN.
The winner merely has to guess the time Todd will hit that magic mark.....for the first time.
Then he will go back to 950,000 and have to work his way back up to ONE MILLION POINTS for a second time. (That won't take him long.)
Did you enter? Good! Because entries in his contest were cut off Wednesday night at midnight CDT, the end of the normal scoring day here on AR.
218 AR members entered their guess before the deadline.
A few guessed more than once (a violation of the contest rules). A few others failed to state a value for "seconds" (also a rule violation). You can call them out on strikes.
Would you like to know your odds of winning? Well, I can't tell you. But I can show you how many people guessed which date. Maybe you can handicap yourself from that.
A few guesses extended well into May. They are not likely to win.
A few guessed Todd Clark would reach ONE MILLION POINTS on April 20-April 22. They've already lost.
As of late tonight, Todd has only 4066 points go.
That might take an ordinary, active RAIN blogger most of a week to accomplish. But Todd Clark is no ordinary RAINER. He'll get there in less time.
I'm not the only one to think so. Just look at the length of the long blue RAIN lines on April 26th though the 28th.
If there was a Vegas line on this contest (and there probably is), the smart money would now be on April 26th. Why? Because tomorrow, being Friday, Todd will likely post his usual 19 weekly blogs showing market data for the hyper-local areas within his real estate work area.
Todd Clark is highly predictable in making posts to his blog -- but not in the content that he posts.
His content can cover anything....replete with appropriate pictures.
However, he does write mostly about Real Estate or Living in Beaverton or Helping Families Home. His life revolves around his family....and so, naturally, do a lot of his blog posts.
Even their pet pig takes a starring role at times.
Most of all, you can set your clock (your contest clock) by him. Todd Clark knows a key to blogging success is consistency of effort. And he manages that in a MILLION DOLLAR way.

I have a guess for when you will reach ONE MILLION POINTS for the second time: June 27th. At exactly Noon. Plus or minus a few seconds.
(Don't count on him giving away 50,000 points again.)

I think I guessed wrong. I said April 27. As of last night Todd was moving at a pace that will probably get him there on the 26th. Oh, well: Easy come, easy go.
It's impossible for us to guess how may points he will get in any given day. That's chiefly because he has recruited several people to AR and automatically receives points equal to 10% of what they earn. For that matter, Todd doesn't even know how many or when such points may hit his total on any given day.
Then, too, Todd obviously doesn't max out on making comments every day like many members do. He must not - by far, his points are from posts not comments.
I guessed April 26th -- we'll see what happens! Maybe he's going to "slow down" to drag it out a bit!
Wow, Jim, I don't know what to say besides THANK YOU! You know you mean a lot to me and my family for obvious reasons to you and me. But, from a blogging stand point, thank you, thank you, thank you for being one of my long time supporters.

Todd is certainly something special and I'm glad to have him part of our company. I missed the contest as he didn't tell me about it and I'm not on as often as he is. (He is trying to fix that) But, I know Todd will do it and my guess he will be the first to a million not once, but twice.

That was going on each day for quite a while before the contest. Then I paused while everyone guessed.
Now I'm back at it. It's been fun.
