Hey Mr. Stat Man - hope you are keeping well. Can't believe summer is almost over. It's been a hot one here. Well weatherwise anyway. Our Aug. sales are down 30 some odd percent from last Aug. Not as bad as July which was down almost 50 percent. Fall market should pick up.
As always helpful information, I would say great information, but I still think we are couple elections away from having great information about the housing market. But, how did you manage to get these to posted during the daylight hours. (LOL)

Jenny -
We went down 35% year-on-year in July. We are back up in August about half of that. It's labor day here tomorrow - then it's the real estate home stretch for the year. Good luck.
Todd -
Hopefully, we won't have to wait that long for a rational national housing policy and overall spending/debt solution.
I did the research and charts last night. I just created the actual posts by a lot of cutting and pasting before church. You're right about that being a switch for me.
Jim, your pie charts make it very easy to compare your market activity month by month...keep up the great work! :)

Thanks for the encouraging compliment.
Jim, thanks for asking me the ratio question on my Rocklin Foreclosure Report...it's good to know so I will figure out the exact numbers. I have to do it manually because the MLS does not have the trustee sale data. :)
Leilani
This is great information about your market. I rarely use pie charts. I should try it some time. I guess I got used to line and bar charts when I was in the lab and am most comfortable with them.
Leilani -
My data is solely from the Portland Regional MLS data.....the bank-owned sales shown are only those placed on the market after being purchased by the lender at foreclosure auction.
Reporting trustee sales would reflect a different market indeed.

I am going to continue with these pie charts through the end of the year. Then I'm cutting over to area charts.
