Drive Safe and Slow in Bend School Zones

You don't have to live in Bend, Oregon for this (sign) post to apply to you.

School days, school days.  Those good old golden rules days...

are here again.

And you know the golden rules I'm thinking of.

Drive unto every kid as you would have others drive unto your grand-kid.

She who has the (red and) gold, calls the tune turn at the cross-walk.

Drive like every warning sign is your friend....or at least a friend of your pocketbook.

School Crossing Bend Oregon

Drive extra safe Tuesday morning! - It's the first week of School in Bend. There's a chill in the air and while it's not officially the last day of summer it sure feels like it.

All over town our kids are picking out their favorite outfit for the first day of school, backpacks are full and lunches are packed.  When leaving for work in the morning don't forget that school zone speed limits are back in effect.

20 mph in School Zones Starts Today.

Leave a few minutes early to give your self extra time to drive slower in the school zones and by the neighborhood bus stops.  Watch out for increased traffic as parents all over Bend shuttle their kids off to school.

Good Morning Jim - Thanks for the reblog! Be careful out there my baby starts school this year. He's excited, I'm a bit choked up.

Kryste -

Your baby?  As in the youngest of your children?  You are way too young to be reaching that milestone already.

Nope, my oldest. I have a 5 and 2 year old both boys.  And thanks, I feel young...most days.
