      <description>&lt;p&gt;Okay, &lt;strong&gt;ASUS&lt;/strong&gt;, what gives?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And, while we are at it, &lt;strong&gt;Newegg&lt;/strong&gt;, you need to weigh in, too.&#160; This is not the service we have come to expect.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ASUS is sending me a brand new computer&lt;/strong&gt; and the Geek Squad at Best Buy told me that my external backup drive is fine, it just needs to be plugged into a Windows 7 computer to work.&#160; It won't work on my old Dell computer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Thank you all so much for your help.&#160;&lt;/strong&gt; I got two calls from ASUS and two e-mails today from them.&#160; YOU DID IT!&#160; If if wasn't for your reblogging and Tweeting, I don't think I would have heard back and certainly would not be getting a new computer from them.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For those of you considering buying an ASUS Zenbook, I want to share my experience to save you the pain I've been through.&#160; I paid $1,550 for the ASUS Zenbook UX31E (their top of the line model) on 11/21/11 from New Egg.com.&#160; On 11/28/11 I received the computer and began using it.&#160; It worked fine for the first four weeks and then began having problems starting up.&#160;&#160;On&#160;1/14/12 it&#160;didn't start at all and&#160;on 1/17/12 I sent it in to be serviced as instructed by ASUS (it was now&#160;just beyond NewEgg's 30 day guarantee).&#160;&#160;They received the computer on 1/20/12.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have had no phone calls&#160;or e-mails from ASUS at all.&#160; I have to call their Customer Service hotline, which consists of people in Malaysia or some other foreign land peering at a computer screen reading back to me the exact same information I obtain from the ASUS Service website.&#160; It is now almost two weeks and there is no indication on when my computer will be returned.&#160; The ASUS Service site states, "Waiting [WB-1] Wait for Material/Spare Parts".&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Well, I've had it!&#160; I'm starting a social media campaign to put pressure on ASUS to either fix my machine or send me a new one!&#160; My client files are on that computer and it is very difficult to work without my files.&#160; Please reblog this post and Tweet it with the hashtags #ASUS #GailRobinson.&#160; Let's see if social media can work to get this arrogant giant's attention.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Getting All "My" Geese In A Row....celebrating 500,000 AR points with a picture header</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;big&gt;With this post I cruise over the &lt;span&gt;500,000&lt;/span&gt; point mark here in &lt;span&gt;Active&lt;span&gt;RAIN&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;. &#160;It's well past time&#160;to have a &lt;span&gt;picture header&lt;/span&gt; across the top of this &lt;span&gt;AR&lt;/span&gt; Blog.&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;big&gt;But before I could get all my &lt;span&gt;real &lt;span&gt;geese&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; in a row (across the top of this blog), I first had to get my figurative &lt;span&gt;blogging &lt;span&gt;ducks&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; in a row.&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;big&gt;In the last (nearly) three years of &lt;span&gt;RAINING&lt;/span&gt;, I have learned a lot. &#160;But until today I had never even entertained the possibility of putting a pix across the masthead of this blog. &lt;/big&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;big&gt;Then today, I commented on, my friend, &lt;strong&gt;Todd Clark&lt;/strong&gt;'s Beaverton, Oregon blog and&#160;once again felt &lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;header-picture envy&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;. So I emailed Todd who&#160;referred me to the freely available &lt;a href="http://www.picnik.com/" title="Picnic"&gt;&lt;span&gt;Picnic&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; program as an easy way to make one of my personal photos fit the 960 X 130 pixel &lt;span&gt;AR&lt;/span&gt; blog-header space. &#160;I also used the&#160;AR "Search" function to find &lt;strong&gt;Joni Staples&lt;/strong&gt;'&#160; &lt;a href="http://activerain.com/blogsview/2625334/how-to-create-a-banner-for-your-activerain-blog-using-picnik" title="tutorial"&gt;tutorial&lt;/a&gt; on the use of &lt;/big&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.picnik.com/" title="Picnic"&gt;&lt;span&gt;Picnic&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;big&gt;&lt;small&gt;. &lt;/small&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/big&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
